Program Evaluation Summary

R.E.S.P.E.C.T.2 works to provide educational programs that are based upon the needs of students in our community. The 2002 survey on bullying and dating violence helped us to examine the scope of these issues for children and teens in our midwest community. We collect pre and post test data from a large number of students every year to determine if we are meeting our objectives and to continuously sample the incidence rate of bullying and dating violence. Our pre and post program evaluation forms have been improved upon every year and we continue to "fine tune" them to improve their validity and reliability.

Our 2005 - 2006 school year brings us into a partnership with the Creighton University Institute of Children and Family Issues. Dr. Patricia Sullivan and Dr. Charles "Tim" Dickel are assisting us as we gather data from over a dozen independent schools/districts in Nebraska. We are in process of comparing pre and post program evaluation data as well as data from standardized evaluation protocols. The protocols are being administered across three time points, pre and post program and again, at the end of the school year. It is our intent to provide students of all ages with programs that are designed around developmentally appropriate goals and objectives that contribute to making a real difference in the ways children think and behave with regard to healthy relationships.

We welcome your interest and participation. For more information please call Dr. Newman at 669-3720.
